Where Sindh Government Jobs Are Advertised

Sindh government hiring does not run through a single door, which is why so many applicants miss deadlines. Vacancies appear in three separate places depending on the grade and the department.

Sindh Job Portal (sjp.gos.pk) handles most departmental recruitment from BPS-1 up to BPS-15 — clerks, typists, junior assistants, drivers, naib qasids, lab attendants and similar posts. Applications are submitted online, with scanned documents uploaded to your profile.

Sindh Public Service Commission (spsc.gos.pk) handles officer-level posts, generally BPS-16 and above, plus the Combined Competitive Examination. These involve a written test and an interview, and the process runs over several months rather than weeks.

Individual departments — Sindh Police, the health department, universities, the High Court and autonomous bodies — often advertise directly in newspapers with their own application forms. These are the ones people miss most often, because there is no central place that collects them.

Departments That Hire Most Often in Sindh

  • Education & Literacy Department — teaching posts (JEST, PST, HST), plus clerical and administrative staff across districts
  • Health Department — medical officers, nurses, lab technicians, dispensers and support staff
  • Sindh Police — constable and junior clerk recruitment drives, usually district-wise
  • Sports & Youth Affairs Department — clerks, typists, electricians and other support roles at sports complexes
  • Local Government and Revenue — clerks, surveyors, tapedars and office staff
  • Universities and boards — teaching, laboratory and administrative posts advertised independently

What You Need Before You Apply

Sindh government applications are rejected on paperwork more often than on merit. Keep these ready before a deadline arrives, not after.

  • Domicile and PRC of the district you are applying from — most posts are district-wise, and the district on your domicile decides which quota you compete in
  • CNIC, and a CNIC that matches the name spelling on your certificates
  • Educational documents — matric onwards, with the original board marksheets
  • Experience certificates where the post asks for experience
  • A recent photograph and, for online portals, scanned copies under the size limit the portal specifies

One thing worth knowing early: Sindh uses a rural and urban quota split for most posts, and your domicile district decides which one applies to you. Two candidates with identical marks can face very different merit lists because of it.

Sindh Government Jobs for Fresh Candidates

If you have matric or intermediate and no experience, the realistic entry points are junior clerk, junior scale stenographer, typist, driver, naib qasid and constable posts. These come up regularly and do not ask for a degree.

With a bachelor’s degree, the range widens to assistant, sub-engineer, lab technician and teaching posts. Anything BPS-16 and above almost always goes through SPSC with a written test, so plan for that rather than expecting a direct appointment.

Most junior posts involve a written test conducted by a testing service. Past papers for these tests follow a predictable pattern: general knowledge, basic maths, English, Islamiat, and current affairs about Sindh and Pakistan. Preparing from a single test-prep book covers most of it.

How to Apply

Every listing on this page links to the official department or portal. There is no application fee charged by HireMe.pk, and no genuine government department in Sindh will ask you to pay anyone for a job, a test result or an interview call.

Before applying, check three things: the closing date, whether the post is district-wise or open across Sindh, and whether a challan form payment is required at a bank. Several online portals only complete your application after the challan is paid and its number entered.
